About Gina
In 1987 I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from New York University. Now a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I began my psychotherapy practice in Stamford, CT in 1991 and have been practicing here in Norwalk, CT since 1992. Since 1997 I live in Norwalk as well. I provide individual, couples and family counseling and psychotherapy to people from Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Weston, Fairfield, Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Stratford, Monroe, Haverill, MA, San Francisco, CA, Austria and China!
Over the years I have had experience with women and men of most ages--adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors with a wide range of concerns. In addition to my private practice, I've worked at a variety of social service agencies and taught undergraduate courses in General Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Psychology and Gender and Violence in the Family.
I have specific training in the treatment of trauma and dissociation and have worked extensively with survivors of childhood abuse. In addition, I am trained in hypnosis, meditation, an attachment focused approach called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and a deeply healing, psycho-spiritual approach called IFS, the Internal Family Systems model (Go to the "About IFS" page to learn more).
Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, family vacations with my husband and daughter on Cape Cod, walks with my dogs, dinner with friends, movies and modern dance.
